Objectives :
NPP is first satellite to be launched under the NASA/NOAA Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS). NPP carries an imager known as the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS). The VIIRS is designed to provide data useful in weather prediction, ocean color, land surface vegetation, combustion sources and nighttime lights. Speakers in this session will review VIIRS data collected over Thailand and Japan.
Target Audience :
Scientists engaged in the study of natural resources, urban areas, forests, agriculture and fisheries.
