A workshop format where we have some initial presentations to describe current activities, and then some general discussion on IPv6 deployment research and challenges, and promote collaboration among the APAN members. Panel discussion will conclude the session.

Title: IPv6 Status and Update in Thailand - Slides
Abstract:
In this talk, we would like to share our work experiences on working on IPv6 in Thailand, e-Gov in particular. Some statistical information of IPv6 in Thailand will be presented. We will draw out some activities that have been done, e.g. World IPv6 Day 2011, IPv6 Domestic Exchange. Some future activities will be mentioned. Finally, we welcome your comments and suggestions for working together and encouraging on IPv6 deployment.

Abstract:
As the global internet community trying to embrace the IPv6 technology within their environment, security issue is higher on their agenda. The end-users are seriously very concern about security for IPv6 platform since the implementation is very new to the market. There are quite number of security challenges exist in implementation of IPv6 in very secure environment. This presentation highlights some of key security issues within the IPv6 implementation.
